Battalions Of Fear 1988Battalions of Fear is the debut album by German metal band Blind Guardian. It was released in 1988 and is a straightforward metal album, greatly inspired by Helloween's works. The album is a raw and unpolished speed metal effort that touches on thrash metal. This album lacks many of the stylistic flourishes that would mark the band's music in later years. Remastered, remixed and re-released on 15th June 2007, with the whole first demo tape, Symphonies of Doom, of the band (at the time called Lucifer's Heritage) as part of the bonus tracks.

Follow The Blind 1989Follow the Blind is the second full-length album from the German metal band Blind Guardian, released in 1989. Kai Hansen of Gamma Ray and ex.Helloween sings in the song Valhalla.
The opening track "Inquisition" is a repetition of the Latin phrase Pie Jesu Domine, dona eis requiem (O sweet Lord Jesus, grant them rest in English) chanted as it would be by monks. The phrase forms part of the Roman Catholic Requiem Mass, and is also identical to that which is chanted by the monks in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Remastered, remixed and re-released on 15th June 2007, with the whole second demo tape, Battalions of Fear, of the band (at the time called Lucifer's Heritage) as part of the bonus tracks.

Somewhere Far Beyond 1992Somewhere Far Beyond is the fourth studio-album by German Power/Speed-Metal act Blind Guardian. It was published in 1992 and produced by Kalle Trapp. The cover artwork was created by Andreas Marschall, who has also drawn the artwork for some more of Blind Guardian's releases (Tales from the Twilight World, Nightfall in Middle-Earth, etc.). The album saw the band creating its own original sound, while still employing some of their speed/power metal techniques. The strong songwriting of the album (including fan favorite The Bard's Song) made the album a power metal staple. The image of the cover and the two Bard's Songs gave the band its nickname "The Bards". The use of the nickname has been also extended to the fans of the group, Circle of the Bards being the now defunct fan club and Hansi frequently calling the fans Bards.
The album was acclaimed by power metal fans all across Europe and especially Japan, allowing them to tour for the first time outside Germany. The tour in the Far East led to the first live album of the band, Tokyo Tales.
Remastered and re-released on 15th June 2007, with bonus tracks.

Nightfall In Middle-Earth 1998Nightfall in Middle-Earth is a concept album by Blind Guardian, released in 1998. It is also Blind Guardian's sixth studio album.
The album is based upon J. R. R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion, a book of tales from the First Age of Middle-earth, recounting the War of the Jewels. The album contains not only songs but also spoken parts narrating parts of the story.
The music is much more "melodic" on this album, compared to previous works such as Somewhere Far Beyond, and the songs have much more fluency, without losing any of the traditional speed or guitar solos and leads. This album is typically considered to be the band's magnum opus.
Nightfall in Middle-Earth was the first album by Blind Guardian to be released in the U.S. The sales encouraged Century Media to release their entire back catalog in the U.S. In 2007, it was remastered and re-released, with one bonus track.

A Twist In The Myth 2006A Twist in the Myth is the eighth studio album by the German power metal band Blind Guardian. It was originally set to be released on September 5, 2006, but Nuclear Blast changed the release date to September 1, 2006 (Except in North-America where it was released September 5). The promo version of the album leaked on July 2, 2006. The retail version of the album leaked in August of 2006 with "Dead Sound of Misery" and the English interview.
The album was released in several different formats: a normal version, a digipack version with bonus track and bonus CD, and a limited edition book-version. The book contains the digipack, along with a guitar pick, booklet and certificate of authenticity and autographs.

A Past and Future Secret"A Past and Future Secret" is the first single from German power metal band Blind Guardian, and the third track on their 1995 album Imaginations From the Other Side. It is an acoustic song, and its guitarwork and lyrical themes strongly evoke the Arthurian legends cycle, the end of which it describes through the eyes of an observer. Specifically, it details the doom of Camelot and the destruction of King Arthur's dream at the Battle of Camlann, where the king and his bastard son Mordred slew each other. Mortally wounded, Arthur was borne away to Avalon, where he shall remain in healing until Britain needs him once more.

Fly"Fly" is a single by Blind Guardian from their 2006 release, A Twist in the Myth. Two of the songs are from the album, "Fly" and "Skalds and Shadows", with the latter being an acoustic version only available on the single. The single also includes a cover of Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", also available only on the single.
Vocalist Hansi Kürsch has said that while "Fly" is a surprising title for a Blind Guardian song, it fits very well with the lyrics. He added, "This song is about inspirations and how they can influence your art, your life and other people's lives. I, myself, was inspired by the movie Finding Neverland when doing the lyrics."

Blind Guardian intended to record a DVD since early 1998, however, due to the band's high requirements, no existing metal festival had been considered suitable. Instead, Blind Guardian decided to create their own festival, back in their homeland. The First Blind Guardian Festival was held in Coburg, Germany, at June 16/17, 2003. It lasted 2 days, with the band playing during both nights. The entire show has been professionally recorded and subsequently released on a DVD entitled Imaginations through the Looking Glass in June 14th, 2004.
