1993 Dance of December SoulsDance of December Souls is the first full-length album by Katatonia. Day DiSyraah is actually a pseudonym for Dan Swanö of Edge of Sanity (among other musical projects), who also produced the record. The album was released on CD in 1993 by No Fashion Records and LP by Helion Records, released in the USA in 1999 by Century Black. In 2004, record label Black Lodge reissued the album with all new artwork, but the band has stated on its website that it does not support this release for personal reasons. In 2007 the album was reissued once again, this time under Peaceville UK with a blue version of the original cover and all five songs from the Jhva Elohim Meth EP appended as bonus tracks.

1996 Brave Murder DayBrave Murder Day, named after the first three tracks of the album, is Katatonia's second full-length album, released in 1996 by Avantgarde Music. The album features harsh vocals by Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth. The Century Black reissue of the album also includes the four tracks from the band's For Funerals to Come EP, while the later Peaceville reissue contained all 3 tracks from the Sounds of Decay EP. In 2004 Northern Silence Productions released the album on vinyl.

1998 Discouraged OnesDiscouraged Ones is the third full-length album by Katatonia. While most of the band's previous efforts included distorted or screamed vocals, Discouraged Ones, and all of the band's subsequent releases, feature almost exclusively clean vocals, mainly by Jonas Renkse.

2006 Great Cold DistanceThe Great Cold Distance is Katatonia's seventh full-length album, released on 13 March 2006 through Peaceville Records. There is also a special Swedish edition of the album which came in a strictly limited edition box with an exclusive Katatonia poster, set of Katatonia postcards and an enhanced video track of the single My Twin.
The album was re-released on March 12, 2007 as a two cd set with two bonus tracks, the second disc is a DVDA with the entire album in 5.1 surround sound. [1]. It was placed at number 8 on PopMatters' List of the Top Metal Albums of 2006 [2]

1997 Sounds Of Decay
Sounds of Decay is a three-song EP released by Katatonia in 1997. A fourth song named "Untrue" was also recorded in the studio session, but it did not end up on the original release. It was later released on the Brave Yester Days compilation album in 2004. The front cover is a screenshot of a decrepit god, taken from the movie Begotten by E. Elias Merhige. In place of Jonas Renske, who usually handles the vocal duties for Katatonia, Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth sings on these tracks.
The EP was also featured on the 2006 reissue of the Brave Murder Day album.

Saw You Drown is a four-song EP released by Katatonia in 1998, limited to 1500 handnumbered copies. Today the EP is a true collectors' item and was recently issued on clear/blue wax 10" LP in 1000 hand-numbered copies.
The tracks "Saw You Drown" and "Nerve" later appeared on the band's full-length album Discouraged Ones.
