Irreligious (1996)Irreligious, released in 1996, is the second full-length album by the Portuguese band Moonspell. It features some of the best-known songs of the band, such as Ruin & Misery, Awake or Full Moon Madness, which is usually the closing song during almost every Moonspell concert, which over time became a kind of tradition. Before the song begins, Fernando Ribeiro often makes the sign of the circle (symbolizing Moon) over the crowd.

The Butterfly Effect (1999)the butterfly effect (released in 1999) is the fourth full-length album by the Portuguese band Moonspell, inspired by chaos theory. The harsh and cold music of the album, composed primarily by the band’s keyboardist, Pedro Paixão, differs greatly from previous Moonspell releases. The album is more aggressive than Sin/Pecado, especially vocally. The use of samples and synthetizers, toned down guitars and the absence of guitar solos led to criticisms by many fans and critics.

Darkness and Hope (2001)
Darkness and Hope is the fifth album by Portuguese metal band Moonspell.
Several different versions were released, with different bonus tracks. One version contained "Os Senhores De Guerra", originally by Madredeus, the second featured "Mr. Crowley", originally by Ozzy Osbourne. Another version had a cover of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" as the bonus track.
There was a misprint on the CD booklets, incorrecly listing "Than the Serpents in my Hands" (instead of Arms) as the last (non-bonus) song.[citation needed] The song's lyrics only use the phrase "serpents in my arms".

The cover of the album features the "Moonspell trident" designed by a Polish artist, Wojciech Blasiak. The sign, later refined in The Antidote's artwork, became recognizable as a symbol of the band.

The Antidote (2003)
The Antidote is Moonspell's sixth full-length album, released in 2003 by Century Media. It is regarded as a return to a heavier musical style in comparison to the previous album, Darkness and Hope, although it is nonetheless quite different from all the previous albums.
The third track, "Everything Invaded" had a music video.
Book
The album was released with a (limited) book named O Antídoto (the antidote, in Portuguese) by José Luís Peixoto. They both share a single concept and the same story. Each song in the CD is sister to a chapter in the book that enhances the story in the lyrics. The CD contains the book in electronic format.

Memorial (2006)Memorial is Moonspell's seventh full-length album, released on April 24, 2006 by SPV. The album is available in three versions - a standard edition, a limited 'digipack' edition with the "Atlantic" bonus track, and the Portuguese edition which is the standard version with the "Phantom North" bonus track. A fourth edition of the album is to be released in December 2006, containing the Portuguese bonus track and a DVD with live recordings of songs from the album.
On January 16, 2007, Memorial was certified gold by the Associação Fonográfica Portuguesa for selling over 10,000 copies in Portugal. This is the first time a Portuguese heavy metal group receives this award.[1]
Each of the limited versions and the standard edition end with a different song, but on every version the final track ends with a 6 minute wolfs-howling outro ("The Sleep of the Sea"), hence there are actually two official versions of "Best Forgotten".

Night Eternal (2008)
Night Eternal is an unreleased album by the Portuguese gothic metal band Moonspell. It was pre-produced in Portugal with Waldemar Sorychta from 16 November to 30 November 2007 and it was recorded in Denmark in Antfarm studio from 7 January to 31 January 2008. It is expected to be released in May 19 2008 in Europe and in the U.S. on June 10.

Everything Invaded (2003)
"Everything Invaded" is song by Moonspell from the album, The Antidote. It was released as a single.
Music video
The music video for "Everything Invaded" is highly distinct. Played out like a trailer to a horror film, it includes various elements such as exorcism and magic. The band performance takes place amidst tall, dead timber with gusts of wind blowing for greater effect. Finally, the band members are shown emerging from soil like zombies, and the video ends with the song title appearing like a movie, with cast and a "Coming Soon" message. It saw notable airplay on Fuse TV and only a few other American music networks.
In regards to being buried alive, the band confirmed that they were, in fact, buried and that they only had one take to capture the powerful ending scene.

Everything Invaded (2003)"Everything Invaded" is song by Moonspell from the album, The Antidote. It was released as a single.
Music video
The music video for "Everything Invaded" is highly distinct. Played out like a trailer to a horror film, it includes various elements such as exorcism and magic. The band performance takes place amidst tall, dead timber with gusts of wind blowing for greater effect. Finally, the band members are shown emerging from soil like zombies, and the video ends with the song title appearing like a movie, with cast and a "Coming Soon" message. It saw notable airplay on Fuse TV and only a few other American music networks.
In regards to being buried alive, the band confirmed that they were, in fact, buried and that they only had one take to capture the powerful ending scene.
